On a recent flight, i was bowled over by THE TEACHER'S LOUNGE. I had seen a rec a few months ago but never elevated it to the position of top of queue. It's a tense drama, but i thought it was outstanding. Sort of like (The Prime of Miss Jean Brody or Dead Poet's Society or newly The Holdovers) crossbred with Lord of the Flies. The path of the movie is like being the ball on a tilted pinball machine, going downward faster with every bell and bounce.
It was an Oscars foreign film nominee. It swept the 2023 german awards (best script, best director, best actor, etc).
I had enjoyed the actress Leonie Benesch in Season 1 of Babylon Berlin.
