The Netflix series RUSSIAN DOLL is noted for its literary and cultural "easter eggs" hidden in the script.
Using a magical realism style, Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) is a NYC hipster caught in a time loop, like in Groundhog Day.
In S1E2, she wonders if it was triggered by a "cocaine-laced joint, like in Israel" she was given at a party. She seeks out the dealer, a Muslim friend who meets her in a hipster bar. He says, This bar is so cool, it even has a back room with an obscure secret password. He immediately tells her the password - Jodorowsky's Dune.
She agrees - that's obscure.
